All year round

 Attica region is famous from ancient years for it's perfect climate. From March to November the weather is mild and the winters are mostly soft. 


The Greek Orthodox Easter celebration is a tradition not to miss and during the Christmas season Athens is all dressed up. Nature is at its best during spring time with a big variety of wild colourful flowers that will amaze you.   

The perfect location

Marathon, a little-known treasure of Attica, is just 26 miles away from Athens and surrounded by numerous fabulous places to visit.


It is close enough to see the important sites but far enough away to enjoy privacy and tranquility. Nearby you will also find picturesque traditional mountain villages.

The Sea

Discover our private hidden bay just under the villa on 10 min. walking distance, or enjoy one of the organized sandy beaches of Schinias Bay.


The crystal clear turquoise blue flagged waters of the Schinias beach are only a 5 minutes drive from the property. 

Rent a boat and go out fishing or snorkeling, there is always something to do for all age groups. 

The Land

The surrounding areas offer a variety of landscapes from rocky bays to shallow sandy beaches.

Marathon has very fertile soil and therefore many plant nurseries, vineyards and agriculture can be found in the area and you can enjoy the fresh & biological local products. 

Schinias National Park

This unique park is only a 5 minutes drive from Marathon Blue Villa.

The wide variety of habitats (more than 240 bird species), compose the most important coastal ecosystem of Attica. 


The outstanding natural landscape in combination with an amazing shallow sandy sea makes this place unique.

The History

In the Marathon area history has been written. Only a few locations have such a rich past.


The battle of Marathon against the Persians symbolizes the birth of Democracy. The spirit of Marathon has survived until remind us of:

to power of "WE" over "I" .

The Local Cuisine

Numerous restaurants & taverns are  located near the Villa or a 15 minute drive you can visit one of the nearby villages to taste delicious grilled meat in traditional picturesque surroundings. 

 The regional cuisine offers local farm-fresh ingredients that are hard to find in other touristic locations. 

For sure the tastes will satisfy even the most demanding of gourmands!

Here are a selection of activities you can do! 


Children of all ages will adore this place! The Schinias beach is very suitable because of it's shallow sandy and blue flagged crystal clear waters.

For the teenagers Marathon beach has many beach clubs  and a variety of sea sports while indoor we have a Cross-fit Gym and a playroom.
